MISSION STATEMENT The objectives of the LEAF Centre are: a) To positively support the residents of the Four Acre Estate and surrounding neighbourhood, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race, political affiliation, religion, or disability. b) To bring together the residents, local authority, voluntary service and other partner organisations in a common effort to provide neighbourhood services from a local venue that is accessible and affordable. c) To provide education, employment, training and leisure opportunities with the clear objective of improving the quality of life for the residents of the area d) To support community capacity building by encouraging community members to become involved in the day to day running of the centre and to actively promote the Centre’s activities. e) To act as a conduit for local residents to ensure that, wherever possible, their views are taken on board by agencies involved in the regeneration of the Four Acre area. It is our intention to regularly re-evaluate this mission statement through the development of the LEAF Centre, thereby ensuring that we continue to provide accessible, relevant services to meet local community needs.
